2) 문법 (Grammar)

주제: 비교급과 최상급 (Comparative and Superlative Adjectives)

비교급이란?
비교급(Comparative)은 두 개의 사람이나 사물을 비교할 때 사용됩니다. 보통 형용사 뒤에 -er을 붙이거나 more를 사용하여 만듭니다.

• 기본 구조:
  • 단음절 형용사: 형용사 + -er + than
    • 예: The train is faster than the bus. (기차가 버스보다 더 빨라요.)
  • 두 음절 이상 형용사: more + 형용사 + than
    • 예: Traveling by airplane is more comfortable than traveling by bus. (비행기로 여행하는 것이 버스로 여행하는 것보다 더 편해요.)

최상급이란?
최상급(Superlative)은 세 개 이상의 대상 중에서 가장 뛰어난 것을 표현할 때 사용됩니다. 보통 형용사 뒤에 -est를 붙이거나 most를 사용하여 만듭니다.

• 기본 구조:
  • 단음절 형용사: the + 형용사 + -est
    • 예: This is the fastest train. (이것이 가장 빠른 기차예요.)
  • 두 음절 이상 형용사: the most + 형용사
    • 예: This is the most comfortable way to travel. (이것이 가장 편한 여행 방법이에요.)

불규칙 비교급과 최상급
일부 형용사는 불규칙한 형태로 변화합니다.

비교급과 최상급 연습 문장
